AstraZeneca vaccine: Pharmacy board probes miscarriage claims

The Pharmacy and Poison’s Board (PBB) is probing a miscarriage and seven cases of severe illness that were allegedly caused by the AstraZeneca vaccine.

“There is one miscarriage reported after taking the vaccine but we cannot tell what caused it. We are also investigating seven severe cases of people who allegedly fell severely ill after the vaccine,” Pharmacy and Poison’s Board Director of Product Evaluation and Registration Prof. Peter Mbwiiri.

Prof. Mbwiri, however, refuted death claims connected with the vaccine.

“Nobody has died, information that one person died after taking the vaccine is misreporting,” he told the PD Online.
