Stop speculating when KCSE results will be released – Magoha warns
Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has warned Kenyans against rumour-mongering on when the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) will be released.
His remarks came hours after the KCSE exams marking exercise came to an end on Friday.
Speaking at Starehe Boys Centre and School in Nairobi, the CS said the experts have now taken over the remaining part and they will advise on the way forward before the results are released.
He, however, hinted that the exams will be released as earlier announced but emphasized all things must be put in order before the release.
“We are going to move to the next level which will require certain experts to do certain things. Therefore, there should be no rumours on when exams will be ready. Give us a break!” he said.
Adding; “They will be ready when they are ready. All I can tell you is that the results will come out reasonably well as expected.”
The CS had earlier announced that KCSE exams will be released on May 10, a day when schools will resume learning countrywide.
The CS also stressed that grade four learners who are on holiday will continue staying at home until when the third term begins.
CS Magoha stated that the rush on the release of exams is strategic since more teachers will be required for the CBC program.
He says the release of exams in time allows students willing to enrol into the teaching profession and hence be available for job opportunities.
